Eid Mubarak!

Over the next couple of days, millions of Muslims from around the world will gather to celebrate Eid with their friends and family to mark the end of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar. On Eid the day begins with an early hour bath, after which Muslims put on their best clothes and attending special Eid prayer ceremonies in nearby mosques. Once that is over, what better way is there then to head to some restaurants for lunch or dinner to celebrate? Here’s a list of restaurants that you may be interested in:

Levantine - Atlantis the Palm - If you love Lebanese food then this is the place to go. The restaurant is spread over two floors with an amazing spiral staircase. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are transported to an Aladdin’s cave-esque area where the bar is situated. Levantine’s decor is colorful and atmospheric due to the low seating and dim lighting. The food is really tasty too – go for the Lamb Makanek, these meaty sausages are served with a sweet pomegranate sauce which is easy to mop up with the flat breads and the lamb shoulder for two literally melts in your mouth and is delicately flavoured.

Crabs Taven - Dubai’s Media City - This restaurant opened earlier this month and combines New York style sandwiches and salads with seafood favourites. Dishes include: squid ink and clam linguini; Hawaiian sea trout and shrimp fishcakes; monkfish, mullet and mussels bouillabaisse; steak tartar; buttermilk fried chicken and waffle; and pecan, chilli maple tart. The interior is urban-rustic with exposed brick walls, hanging light bulbs and warm wooden features.

Carluccio’s - The Dubai Mall – I think it’s safe to say you that if you take your family to an Italian restaurant, it’s a winner. But not just any ol’ Italian restaurant, head to Carluccio’s at the Dubai Mall. It’s not just a restaurant but a food shop too and it’s bustling and exciting environment makes it friendly for all. It’s open throughout the day for delicious Italian breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dishes are freshly prepared by the chefs using the freshest ingredients sourced from Italy where possible.

Pantry Café - Al Wasl Square – This gourmet café and delicatessen brings quality and flavourful comfort food from around the world. Its open, spacious vibe combing rustic and industrial edges really makes this restaurant a special one. The list of dishes itself, while unusual, has something to suit all. The menu includes: wagyu beef, foie gras, truffle and lobster dishes as well as the option to create your own pizza. If you don’t know exactly what type of cuisine you want to go for then this is the place to head to.

After filling your bellies, why not take a walk along the promenade of the beach, opposite the Jumeirah Beach Resort because on the first, second and third day of Eid there will be an incredible firework display from 20.30.
